Amazing place! Was there for breakfast and the food was just the best. Couldnt ask for more authentic Canadian breakfast to start the day.
What a great spot for breakfast. Get there before 9am on a summer sunday to avoid the lines. Otherwise it could be 30-60mins. Very much the Quebec country feel inside. Food is great. I had the omelette which I recommend. The country bread is the option you'll want to pick when asked. Espresso is decent. Get the double.
This place is unique...wonderful rustic architecture, a beautiful fire place in the centre...beautiful yes, but once you take a bite of their ham and their bacon, and their beans, that's it. Game over. You are in heaven and you won't even remember how nice the place looks!
Since learning about this place I always make a point of visiting this when in Quebec. Amazing food, especially the maple ham but its the atmosphere of family and tradition that overwhelms me every time. My father has been going to this place with his family since he was young and I can see why and hope to carry on this tradition as well.
How can you not love this place? Traditional fare, all homemade, based on sugar shack menu. I even bought a few things from the store there that were great! Check them out, bring the family!
